GEE Unveils a New Network Operations Center
20 Oct, 2015
Today we cut the ribbon on our new state-of-the-art Network Operations Center (NOC), that continuously monitors and manages connectivity and content systems worldwide.
The new network operations center enables GEE to expand its network management capabilities to meet the fast-growing demand for inflight entertainment and connectivity solutions aboard aircraft across the globe. The NOC is designed to manage and deliver the next generation of inflight connectivity, which will require more satellite capacity and infrastructure to meet the needs of airlines and their nose-to-tail connected aircraft.
“GEE is providing inflight connectivity to nearly 700 connected aircraft and a broad range of entertainment content to more than 200 airlines around the world. Our new network operations center in Chicago enables GEE to monitor and manage current and next generation IFE&C solutions,” explained Aditya Chatterjee, SVP of connectivity systems and GEE CTO. “This state-of-the-art facility allows GEE to provide thorough and insightful reporting on the usage and performance of connected and entertainment solutions aboard the airlines served by GEE as well as ensure uptime while the aircraft is inflight.”
